| Good Morning Students and Faculty of Memorial School, parents and veterans of our armed forces. | |||
| Today is a day of memories. To remember all of the men and women who died serving in the United States Armed Services. It has been One hundred and Thirty Two (132) years since the first Memorial Day was observed. The very first Memorial Day was to honor the 265,000 Americans that died in the American Civil War. In that 132 years there have been more wars and too many losses. Our school is named Memorial in honor of all the soldiers that died and we need to remember this. We need to remember this so that we do not repeat our mistakes in the future.
